Maxine Moul, Former Lt. Governor and our Candidate for Congress in NE-01, picked up the endorsement of the Blue Dog Coalition over the weekend. The Blue Dog Coalition is a group of moderate to conservative House Democrats. The group has built a reputation as a serious player in the policy arena, promoting positions which bridge the gap between ideological extremes. Many of the group’s policy proposals have been praised as fair, responsible, and positive additions to a Congressional environment too often marked as partisan and antagonistic.

Today is the first debate in the U.S. Senate race. The debate is being held at the Lincoln Cornhusker Hotel at noon, in conjunction with the Nebraska Broadcasters Association Summer Conference.
While the debate is not open to the public, many TV and radio stations throughout the state will be carrying the debate live.
Several websites, including the NET website will provide a feed as well.
Check your local listings for live broadcasts and replay information.
