Nebraska Democratic Party Statement on Jean Stothert\u2019s Campaign Running Misleading Ads About John Ewing<\/b><\/p>\n

LINCOLN, NE – The Nebraska Democratic Party Executive Director, Precious McKesson, issues the following statement regarding recent misleading ads from the Jean Stothert Campaign about candidate John Ewing:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe Stothert Campaign is running misleading ads regarding John Ewing\u2019s record and agenda. While Mayor Stothert continues to use the same tired Republican playbook to distract voters with cultural wars like focusing on bathrooms, John Ewing continues to focus on real issues that impact people’s pockets\u2013 the endless potholes, new economic development, and housing that will help Omahans, not Jean\u2019s big donors.\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Ultimately, Jean would rather focus on potties, while John focuses on fixing potholes.\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Under her leadership, the Omaha Police Department has skewed its numbers on new hires, but the bottom line remains: Omaha has failed to recruit 100 officers.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Omaha voters will have the opportunity to elect a new leader and vision that will bring the city together and not divide it based on the culture war issue of the day or zip code. We encourage voters to vote early or plan to vote on Tuesday, May 13th.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n
