President Trump and his allies — including the clownish pseudo-lawyer Rudy Giuliani — have now lost 34 lawsuits in which they claimed the election had been rigged and stolen from them.<\/p>\n

They have won none. Zero. Zilch. Nada.<\/p>\n

Trump and Co. have been rebuked, belittled and vilified.<\/p>\n

The worst came over the weekend, as documented by Esquire scribe\u00a0\u062a\u0634\u0627\u0631\u0644\u0632 \u0628\u064a\u0631\u0633.<\/a><\/p>\n

W<\/em>e would be remiss if we did not acknowledge the best performance of the weekend, the Rolex Player of the Week in Democracy: U.S. District Judge Matthew Brann of Pennsylvania.<\/em><\/p>\n

He takes home the hardware not simply because he ruled against the president*’s ludicrous attempt to disqualify every ballot cast in that state back to Benjamin Franklin’s, but because of\u00a0<\/em>the pure and unadulterated disdain<\/em><\/a>\u00a0with which he enlivened his ruling.<\/em><\/p>\n

Judge Brann pretty definitively dismantled the legal theory presented by the president*’s Elite Strike Force\u2014namely, “Hey, We’re Stupid-ing as Fast as We Can.”<\/em><\/p>\n

It could have been worse.\u00a0<\/em>Brann could have glued\u00a0<\/em>all 37 pages of his decision<\/em><\/a>\u00a0to a polo mallet and beaten the president’s lawyers over the head with it, but, failing that, he really did all he could.<\/em><\/p>\n
