Senators Fischer and Sasse support the Republicans\u2019 tax plan give a handout to the top 1%, while it would hurt working Nebraskans and <\/span>exploding to the federal deficit. <\/span><\/a>Even Trump’s advisor, Larry Kudlow, has said the bill will <\/span>“hurt a lot of different people”<\/span><\/a>. While Senators Fischer and Sasse are pushing this destructive bill on Nebraskans, 50,000 kids on CHIP in our state are at risk to lose their health insurance because the GOP has not funded the program. <\/span><\/p>\n

The Republican tax bill would take more than $5 billion from middle-class families to give to the rich.<\/b><\/p>\n

New York Times<\/span><\/a>: \u201cBy 2027, people making $40,000 to $50,000 <\/span>would pay a combined $5.3 billion more in taxes, while the group earning $1 million or more would get a $5.8 billion cut, according to the Joint Committee on Taxation and the Congressional Budget Office.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Over 80% of households would have their taxes increase or see no change, while about 60% of households making over $1 million would get a tax cut.<\/b><\/p>\n
