Former Sen. Bob Kerrey\u00a0took a deserved swipe this week on CNN<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>at President Trump for\u00a0his repeated attacks<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>on the late Sen. John McCain, who was held captive for five years during the Vietnam War and died of brain cancer in August.<\/p>\n

Kerrey, a former Navy SEAL who lost part of his right leg during the war, noted that Trump was able to wiggle out of serving in the war because he allegedly has bone spurs in his feet.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday\u2019s broadcast of CNN\u2019s \u201cAnderson Cooper 360,\u201d Kerrey said:<\/p>\n

\u201cWhile John McCain was flying combat operations in Vietnam, you were, I think, falsifying that you had bone spurs in order not to go to Vietnam. Now, I know lots of people who avoided the draft, but this isn\u2019t what he\u2019s saying. He said \u2018I physically couldn\u2019t go.\u2019 Well, Mr. President, get your feet X-rayed and let\u2019s see those bone spurs. I don\u2019t think he has them.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

To ensure fairness and inclusivity in the process of finalizing the DSP, the NDP is opening up the draft for public comment during the 30-day comment period, which ends April 19.<\/p>\n

After a review of the public comments, the plan will then be revised and approved by the NDP State Executive Committee and submitted to the Democratic National Committee for review and approval.<\/p>\n
