Su servicio lo llev\u00f3 a campos de batalla clave en Saipan, Tinian y Okinawa. Estaba en Nagasaki despu\u00e9s de la bomba at\u00f3mica y luego comand\u00f3 la 2da Divisi\u00f3n de Infanter\u00eda de Marina de Shimabara.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"1gdmj\" data-offset-key=\"apsdd-0-0\">\n<div class=\"_1mf _1mj\" data-offset-key=\"apsdd-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"apsdd-0-0\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"1gdmj\" data-offset-key=\"d9fu6-0-0\">\n<div class=\"_1mf _1mj\" data-offset-key=\"d9fu6-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"d9fu6-0-0\">En junio de 1946, volvi\u00f3 a la vida civil, y en 1947 se cas\u00f3 con Renee Inglaterra antes de ser llamado al servicio militar en 1950 en el conflicto de Corea.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"1gdmj\" data-offset-key=\"ccvpk-0-0\">\n<div class=\"_1mf _1mj\" data-offset-key=\"ccvpk-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"ccvpk-0-0\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"1gdmj\" data-offset-key=\"4s75i-0-0\">\n<div class=\"_1mf _1mj\" data-offset-key=\"4s75i-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"4s75i-0-0\">Como civil, cultiv\u00f3 y ense\u00f1\u00f3 en Minden y Wilcox, donde particip\u00f3 en una variedad de actividades de voluntariado.
