After weeks of irresponsible dismissiveness about the coronavirus, President Trump finally brought himself to admit that, yes, Houston, we have a problem.<\/p>\n

But to see all his coronavirus utterances together, compiled by the folks over at\u00a0The Bulwark<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0in chronological order, is truly mind-numbing. And horrifying.<\/p>\n

Jan. 22<\/strong>
\n<\/em>\u201cWe have it totally under control. It\u2019s one person coming in from China. It\u2019s going to be just fine.\u201d<\/em>

The NDP has called on Secretary of State Bob Evnen and Governor Pete Ricketts to consider moving entirely to Vote-by-Mail ballots for the May 12 Primary Election in light of the coronavirus pandemic.<\/p>\n

\u201cHealth officials are urging an abundance of caution in light of this pandemic, which is spreading rapidly and increasingly wreaking havoc across our country,\u201d said NDP Chair Jane Kleeb. \u201cThis is a public health crisis and we need to avoid a situation where polling places and our elections get disrupted. We need an all Vote-By-Mail election to happen. Our party is ready to work hand-in-hand with the Republicans and the government to ensure a safe election and to protect our democracy.\u201d<\/p>\n

For our part, the NDP will mail Vote By Mail applications to voters in addition to launching an online portal for Nebraskans to request a Vote By Mail Application be sent to them.\u00a0See the online request form here.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n
