Nebraska Democratic Party Statement on Donald Trump\u2019s Speech and Continued Claims of Election Fraud<\/b><\/p>\n

LINCOLN, NE – The Nebraska Democratic Party Chair and ASDC President Jane Kleeb issued the following statement regarding Donald Trump\u2019s speech to the American public regarding claims that previous elections were compromised and full of fraud:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cDonald Trump\u2019s \u2018big news\u2019 to Americans was exactly what we expected: more attacks on our election process and never-ending baseless claims. With Democrats winning <\/span><\/i>90% of all elections since 2025<\/span><\/i>, Trump is desperate to reverse the momentum with his attempted distractions.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Americans have grown tired of repeated claims of voter fraud without any evidence. Despite this, the President continues to direct his DOJ to indulge his conspiracy theories. His attacks are widespread, involving everything from mail-in ballots to states’ redistricting to the firing of members of a bipartisan election commission. Tonight, he asked the country to support him in his most elaborate claims yet. We are supposed to take him at his word. We all remember the 11,780 votes he asked Georgia officials to \u201cfind\u201d to hand him a victory. We also remember the 62 lawsuits he filed and lost in 9 states soon after the 2020 elections, many ruled by judges he appointed.\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Instead of attacks on our free and fair election system, he should focus on out-of-control affordability, avoiding forever wars, and releasing the Epstein Files. Instead of presenting an agenda and solutions for everyday Americans, he sows division, hate, and chaos.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

With so many problems facing our nation, Americans have lost faith in Donald Trump and Republicans. Republicans on Capitol Hill have abdicated their power to one man and abandoned their duties to voters. Americans will send Democrats to take control of Congress in November and reverse this full-on attack on democracy.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n
