Trump for President, Inc., Donald Trump Jr., Paul Manafort, Roger Stone, Jared Kushner, George Papadopoulos, and Richard Gates<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Below are statements released by Nebraska Democratic Party Chair Jane Kleeb and the Chair of the DNC Tom Perez.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThis was an assault on our democracy. We all know the Republicans use redistricting and voter-id to suppress the vote, I\u2019m not sure any of us imagined they would welcome the help of a foreign adversary like Russia. Chair Perez and Deputy Chair Ellison are showing the strong Democratic backbone of standing up for the people.\u201d Nebraska Democratic Party Chair Jane Kleeb.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cDuring the 2016 presidential campaign, Russia launched an all-out assault on our democracy, and it found a willing and active partner in Donald Trump\u2019s campaign. This constituted an act of unprecedented treachery: the campaign of a nominee for President of the United States in league with a hostile foreign power to bolster its own chance to win the presidency. No one is above the law and the perpetrators of this attack must be held accountable. They successfully hacked the Democratic Party in 2016 and they will be back. We must prevent future attacks on our democracy, and that\u2019s exactly what we\u2019re doing today. This is not partisan, it\u2019s patriotic. \u00a0If the occupant of the Oval Office won\u2019t protect our democracy, Democrats will.
