The Nebraska Democratic Party continues to work with the grassroots engaging volunteers with our block captain program and ensuring Democrats all across the state are connected to candidates running up and down the ballot. <\/span><\/p>\n

With over 600 Democrats in Nebraska running this year, there is no lack of work to do in order to end the one-party stranglehold on our state.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Nebraska Democratic Party has been spending more and more time engaging with rural areas. We understand that if we are going win and grow the good life for all Nebraskans we need to be in the communities and talk with people where they are. We plan to open at least two offices in Central and Western Nebraska this summer to help organize and support rural Democrats.<\/span><\/p>\n

One way we build the party is to ensure we have a County Chair and local party structure in all 93 counties. When Chair Kleeb and Vice Chair LaMere started we had 48 and now a year and half later we have 63. <\/span><\/p>\n

We still need to recruit 30 so we decided to hold county conventions this year even in places that might not have a County Chair so all Democrats have the opportunity to serve as a local party leader and delegate to the State Convention. <\/span><\/p>\n

NDP officers and staff are working hard to make sure that every county has a chance to be represented at our State Convention.<\/span><\/p>\n

We have planned conventions for 31 counties from all over the state. They are being hosted by our Officers and assisted by Staff. Thank you to the Chair of Garfield County, Priscilla Megorden Andrews for her work. Please join us and help us spread the word on these great conventions:<\/span><\/p>\n
