In response to the Supreme Court’s ruling on the Janus Case the Nebraska Democratic Party has released the following statements.<\/p>\n

“When corporate interests make it more difficult for working people to come together to negotiate for better wages and benefits, and safer working conditions, then all working people suffer through depressed wages, insufficient benefits and substandard working conditions.” -Sue Martin, President\/Secretary-Treasurer, Nebraska State AFL-CIO<\/span><\/p>\n

“Republicans are hell bent on destroying the working and middle class. Today’s decision by the Supreme Court hurts the ability of union members to organize and collectively bargin, two fundamental foundations of leveling the playing field.” -Chair Jane Kleeb<\/p>\n

\u201cToday is the 83rd anniversary of the passage of the National Labor Relations Act. The NLRA started decades of middle class prosperity as a result of collective bargaining. Unfortunately, today\u2019s Supreme Court decision weakens the Act and is further evidence of conservatives attack on working families.\u201d – CJ King, IBEW<\/p>\n
