Nebraska Democratic Party Delegates Endorse Kamala Harris and Governor Tim Walz for the Democratic Party Presidential Nominee
LINCOLN, NE – The Nebraska Democratic Party (NDP) and its 34 delegates have officially endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris and Governor Tim Walz as the Democratic Party Presidential nominees. We look forward to supporting Vice President Harris and Governor Tim Walz and earning Nebraska’s 2nd Congressional District’s sole electoral vote.
State Party Chair Jane Kleeb, who also serves as the Delegation Chair, stated “Nebraska is proud to stand with Kamala Harris and Tim Walz and pledge our support to them. The renewed energy across the state means more volunteers to knock doors and engage voters at the neighborhood level. The Kamala-Walz ticket represents a new generation of Democrats ready to carry on the work Joe Biden dedicated 50 years of his life building. Democrats will have a ticket that looks and sounds like America ready to deliver for the many, not the few, and to bring forward a new vision for America.”
In addition to our delegation announcing our support for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz, we also voted to encourage the Harris-Walz ticket to hold regional (Midwest, West, South, East) town halls where state parties in the regions send voters to engage in a public forum with her on key issues from climate change, immigration, reproductive rights, and racial equity. Given the short time frame of the nomination process, we know how critical it is for voters to have an opportunity to engage directly with Harris and Walz.
The NDP is enthusiastic about announcing the following delegates and alternate delegates elected during the State Convention, who will represent Nebraska at the Democratic National Convention (DNC) in August in Chicago, IL. These 34 individuals are a modern-day representation of diversity and various socio-economic backgrounds that exemplify the values and platform of the NDP.
