The Nebraska Democratic Party is Proud to Announce President Joe Biden as a Speaker at the 2025 Ben Nelson Gala
The Nebraska Democratic Party (NDP) is excited and honored to announce that President Joe Biden will be a speaker at our 2025 Ben Nelson Gala.
President Biden will join Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear and Capitol Police Officer Harry Dunn as featured speakers. Omaha Mayor John Ewing will be our emcee for the evening. Along with this historic lineup of speakers, elected officials and community leaders will also be in attendance.
NDP Chair, ASDC President, and DNC Vice Chair Jane Kleeb released the following statement:
“President Biden served our nation and our party for decades with compassion and strength. He never once looked down upon a fellow American if they were struggling to make ends meet or had lost a loved one. Biden always looked Americans in the eyes and told us the truth, held our hands when we were hurting, and gave us hope through his historic policies, such as the infrastructure bill and the Violence Against Women Act. It is an honor of a lifetime to host him in Omaha–a place we lovingly call Jomaha for when he secured this electoral vote!”

Our annual Ben Nelson Gala is a fundraiser and celebration of local party leaders, supporters, and volunteers who strengthen our party and help elect Democrats. We will honor individuals with awards and provide inspirational speeches. In addition to our featured speakers, we will have elected officials, candidates, and party leaders present. Our theme this year will be: “Diverse, Strong, and Ready.”
