Nebraska Democratic Party Statement on Tennessee Special Election Results
LINCOLN, NE – The Nebraska Democratic Party Chair and DNC Vice Chair Jane Kleeb issued the following statement following the special election results in Tennessee’s 7th District:
“If you are Rep. Mike Flood tonight, you are worried. If you are Rep. Bacon tonight, you know you made the right decision to retire.
Momentum towards a 2026 blue wave continues with a strong showing in Tennessee’s special election. Voters in urban and rural communities are turning on Trump and all the candidates he endorses because they are too tied to corporate greed and more of the same.
Trump’s lies and chaos do not bring grocery prices down, do not help your utility bill, and do not help young people buy their first home.
We congratulate Aftyn Behn and the Tennessee Democrats for putting up a fight for the people and for giving hope to Americans all over the country.”
