Nebraska Democratic Party Statement on Candidate Brinker Harding’s Delayed Filing of Mandatory Personal Financial Disclosures

OMAHA, NE – Nebraska Democratic Party Executive Director, Precious McKesson, issues the following statement after filing a letter to the Department of Justice to launch an investigation into Brinker Harding and his delay of mandatory financial disclosures:

“We all have rules to follow. The Ethics in Government Act of 1978 requires candidates for Congress to file a Personal Financial Disclosure statement within 30 days of filing for candidacy. Brinker Harding filed his candidacy on July 1, 2025, meaning his disclosure was due 30 days after, unless an extension was requested, which wasn’t. We are 10 months out with no transparency.

As of May 27, 2026, he has still failed to comply with the law. No one is above the rules – especially someone seeking to represent Congressional District 2 in Washington, D.C.

This blatant disregard for legal and ethical obligations raises serious concerns about accountability, transparency, and respect for the office he seeks to hold. CD2 deserves better.”
