رئيسة الحزب الوطني الديمقراطي جين كليب تهاجم مشرعي الحزب الجمهوري في نبراسكا لدعم فضيحة ترامب في أوكرانيا

NDP Chair Jane Kleeb on Thursday assailed GOP Reps. Don Bacon, Jeff Fortenberry and Adrian Smith  and Sens. Ben Sasse and Deb Fischer for their unwavering support of President Trump for withholding military aid to Ukraine — which a nonpartisan federal watchdog agency said violated the law.

"Now that you know Trump broke the law … will you change your stance and speak in support of the impeachment?” Kleeb said. “Bacon, Fortenberry and Smith: Would you now change your vote with this new damning information? The people of Nebraska deserve to know.”

ذكرت صحيفة نيويورك تايمز that the nonpartisan Government Accountability Office said the White House’s Office of Management and Budget violated the Impoundment Control Act when it withheld nearly $400 million for “a policy reason,” even though the funds had been allocated by Congress. The decision was directed by the president himself, and during the House impeachment inquiry, administration officials testified that they had raised concerns about its legality to no avail.

“Faithful execution of the law does not permit the president to substitute his own policy priorities for those that Congress has enacted into law,” the G.A.O. wrote.

Said Kleeb: “This also begs the question of Sens. Sasse and Fischer: WIll you now support a full and fair Senate impeachment trial with witnesses?”
