Nebraska Democratic Party Announcement of Democratic and Independent Candidates for the 2024 Primary Elections

LINCOLN, NE – The Nebraska Democratic Party Chair Jane Kleeb issues the following statement regarding the diverse and strong slate of Democratic and Independent (non-partisan) candidates after the candidate deadline today:

“Today the Nebraska Democratic Party presents a strong slate of Democratic and Independent candidates for the people during the 2024 election cycle. In 2022, we had legislative candidates fill 60% of seats up for election. This time around, we have 95%. This incredible number is a testament to all the hard work of our county chairs, allies, and supporters. Our diversity in candidates is a direct representation of Nebraskans from both rural and urban areas who are ready to bring working and middle-class perspectives to all offices in our government. We must come together to end the one-party rule in our state that stifles creativity, innovation, and accountability.”- Chair Jane Kleeb

The NDP would like to congratulate the following Democratic and independent (NP) candidates, both incumbents and new candidates, who filed to run for office for the U.S. Senate, Nebraska State Board of Education, Nebraska Board of Regents, legislative candidates, and seats down the ballot.
