Nebraska Democratic Party Statement on the Passing of Former Lincoln Mayor Coleen Seng
LINCOLN, NE – The Nebraska Democratic Party Chair and DNC Vice Chair Jane Kleeb issued the following statement on the passing of former Lincoln Mayor Coleen Seng:
“We are deeply saddened by the passing of former Lincoln Mayor Coleen Seng. Mayor Seng embodied the very best of public service, dedicating 16 years to the Lincoln City Council and more than four decades to numerous boards and commissions. Throughout her life, she worked tirelessly to improve the lives of Nebraskans.
Whether through her commitment to the Girl Scouts or her devotion to her faith, Mayor Seng touched countless people with her compassion and leadership. She blazed a trail for Democrats not only in Lincoln but across the entire state.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to her family and to the many colleagues and community members she mentored over the years.”
