LINCOLN— After the fourth year in a row that the Nebraska State Legislature has failed to pass a Medicaid expansion and help those who continue to fall through the cracks of the system, the Nebraska Democratic Party Chair Vince Powers released the following statement:
“I am very disappointed that the far right wing members of the Nebraska State Legislature have prevented 97,000 Nebraskans from receiving the necessary coverage they need and deserve. It has become obvious that members of the State Legislature are playing party politics with the lives of thousands of Nebraskans. It’s time to elect State Senators who will protect Nebraskans, not hurt them.“
