Press release: Nebraska Democrats Statement on “Vote-a-Rama”

While Senate Republicans like Ben Sasse and Deb Fischer move to delay a vote on the budget resolution, Nebraska Democratic Party Chair Jane Kleeb released the following statement:

“There have been over 192,000 COVID-19 cases in Nebraska, and while our farmers, small businesses, and families have struggled to stay afloat as crisis after crisis is thrown their way, now Republicans in Washington are standing in the way of urgently needed relief. While Democrats have been clear about their commitment to an open debate on amendments, Republicans have countered with partisan distractions, designed to delay the process rather than find solutions for the American people. We call on Senator Sasse and Senator Fischer to do the right thing and join with Democrats in passing this budget resolution without the rank partisanship and political games.”
