Nebraska Democratic Delegation Prepares for Democratic National Convention in Chicago
The Nebraska Democratic Party is proud to travel with a strong and diverse delegation to represent our state at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago.
The following details are being provided to press and media outlets regarding the Nebraska delegation and convention activity.
WHAT: The Nebraska Democratic Party staff and Nebraska Democratic Delegation will represent Nebraska at the Democratic National Convention beginning on Monday, August 19th through August 23rd.
On Sunday, we will host a “Nebraskans in Chicago” reception.
The delegation will attend daily breakfast meetings (Mon-Thurs) with high-profile speakers like Governor Gretchen Whitmer (MI) and Representative Jasmine Crockett (TX).
Delegates will attend caucus and council trainings and attend the formal Convention proceedings to cast votes for the Harris-Walz ticket (Roll Call happens on Tuesday).

The Nebraska delegation consists of 34 delegates, 3 alternates, 3 committee members (platform, rules, credentials), 5 electors, 3 pages, and one designated dignitary. Our delegation represents a diverse representation from across our state: elected officials, labor, members of the LGBTQIA community, neighborhood activists, military vets, ranchers, and students, among others.
