Statement on Breaking the Nebraska State Legislature Republican Supermajority
LINCOLN, NE – The Nebraska Democratic Party Chair and ASDC President Jane Kleeb issues the following statement following the Midterm Election results and officially breaking the Republican supermajority in the Unicameral:
“We worked hard alongside our candidates to ensure that we stayed focused on local issues. We recruited candidates that look and sound like their communities. Voters clearly wanted a check on Governor Pillen and the most radical wing of the Republican Party that has been pushing a MAGA agenda in our state.
Nebraska voters want the Legislature focused on the fundamentals of bringing down property taxes, fully funding our public schools, and ensuring that there is a level playing field for all Nebraskans.”
