Nebraska Democratic Party Statement on the Lincoln Primary Election Results
LINCOLN, NE – The Nebraska Democratic Party Chair Jane Kleeb issues the following statement regarding the Lincoln City Primary Election results:
“We congratulate one of the most diverse slates of candidates in the Lincoln Primary Election as they advance to the General Election. With proven leadership on the Lincoln City Council, Tom Beckius, Bennie Shobe, and Sändra Washington will help maintain a Democratic majority to move the city of Lincoln forward. We also are proud of having multiple strong candidates for Lincoln Public Schools and the Lincoln Airport Authority. We thank all candidates who gave it their all to position themselves as a voice for their community. The next few weeks will be dedicated to these candidates being elected in Lincoln, who will work with Mayor Leirion Gaylor Baird and others to move the city forward. We urge Lincoln voters to vote early or to have a plan to vote on General Election Day, May 6th.”
