This week I am highlighting our successful State Central Committee meeting, the Blue Bench training, and our intern team.
State Central Committee Meeting
This last Saturday we held our State Central Committee Meeting in Omaha. Our caucuses met and conducted their business for their membership. We were lucky to be able to have lunch from the great local restaurant, Big Mama’s. We conducted our meeting and passed several resolutions for the Party. We had updates of the work of the Party from the staff. We had guest speeches from Jennie Blackton and Michael Blake.
Blue Bench Training
This last Sunday we partnered with the National Democratic Training Committee to put on our third Blue Bench Training of the year. We had over a hundred democrats attend including candidates, campaign staff, and grassroots leaders. They were trained on topics such as field, digital, communications, and fundraising. Not only did we have amazing national trainers brought in but we also had our outstanding Nebraska native trainers in attendance.
Thank you to our co-chairs of the Blue Bench Project, Senator Wishart and Morfeld for their leadership in this project. We understand that we have to be building our party from the grassroots up, from people that are just getting involved for the first time to people that have been involved for over 30 years. We all have to work together to get democrats elected everywhere.
