Today, Rep. Don Bacon followed his Washington party bosses and voted to shut down the government, recklessly threatening our economy and risking critical government services.
If Bacon had it his way, Nebraskans who are employed by the federal government would be furloughed without pay, our national security would be at risk, and Nebraska families who earned federal benefits would be left on their own.
“Don Bacon once again voted to shut down the government despite knowing the damage it would inflict on Nebraska’s families and economy,” said DCCC spokesperson Johanna Warshaw. “Voters deserve better than extremists like Bacon who consistently turns his back on his constituents.”
