NDP Chair Jane Kleeb issued the following statement today on President Trump’s declaration of a national emergency at the U.S.–Mexico border.
“Trump declares a national emergency on a wall he promised Mexico would pay for and now is leaving D.C. for his country club. Sounds more like a campaign stunt to feed red meat to his base than responsible governing.”
