Nebraska Democratic Party Executive Director Precious McKesson issued the following statement Thursday after Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson was confirmed by the U.S. Senate today as the first black woman to serve on the U.S. Supreme Court.
“Judge Jackson has a brilliant legal mind and unquestionable character and integrity. She will be an exceptional Supreme Court justice and is a role model for young girls of color. Shame on Sen. Ben Sasse and Deb Fischer for voting against her confirmation.”
