President Trump and his allies — including the clownish pseudo-lawyer Rudy Giuliani — have now lost 34 lawsuits in which they claimed the election had been rigged and stolen from them.
They have won none. Zero. Zilch. Nada.
Trump and Co. have been rebuked, belittled and vilified.
The worst came over the weekend, as documented by Esquire scribe Charles Pierce.
We would be remiss if we did not acknowledge the best performance of the weekend, the Rolex Player of the Week in Democracy: U.S. District Judge Matthew Brann of Pennsylvania.
He takes home the hardware not simply because he ruled against the president*’s ludicrous attempt to disqualify every ballot cast in that state back to Benjamin Franklin’s, but because of the pure and unadulterated disdain with which he enlivened his ruling.
Judge Brann pretty definitively dismantled the legal theory presented by the president*’s Elite Strike Force—namely, “Hey, We’re Stupid-ing as Fast as We Can.”
It could have been worse. Brann could have glued all 37 pages of his decision to a polo mallet and beaten the president’s lawyers over the head with it, but, failing that, he really did all he could.

Two GOP incumbents, Sens. David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler, are facing runoffs against Democrats: Jon Ossoff facing Perdue and the Rev. Raphael Warnock facing Loeffler.
If Ossoff and Warnock win, the Senate will become evenly split, 50-50, with Vice President Kamala Harris holding the tie-breaking vote.
