Nebraska Democratic Party Jane Kleeb blasted Rep. Don Bacon on Wednesday for his cowardly vote against forming a non-partisan House commission to probe the Jan. 6 insurrection at the nation’s Capitol, which saw five people die and violent attacks on police officers by Trump voters.
“Just weeks ago, Rep. Bacon supported transparency and finding the truth behind the violent insurrection by Trump voters, but apparently he got his marching orders and flipped,” Kleeb said. “Instead of supporting a politician who flips his votes to please the radical GOP base, Nebraksans will flip the district red to blue showing we care about our police officers and the fundamentals of our democracy.”
