NDP STATE CENTRAL COMMITTEE OPPOSES FAST TRACK AUTHORITY

LINCOLN– The Nebraska Democratic Party State Central Committee, on Saturday, June 20th, agreed with the Working Families Caucus to oppose the Fast Track Legislation pending before Congress.

The Nebraska Democratic Party opposes the Trans Pacific Partnership Trade Agreement and any similar trade agreements that weakens or reduces workers’ wages/benefits, protections, American jobs, and reduces environmental protections.

Resolved – that the Nebraska Democratic Party oppose Fast Track of the Trans Pacific Partnership and any similar trade agreements and the agreement in its current purported form; and, be it further

Resolved – that the Nebraska Democratic Party communicates this position to all Democratic members of Congress, other elected officials, and candidates within the State of Nebraska.
