LINCOLN, NE – The Nebraska Democratic Party Chair Jane Kleeb’s response regarding former President Trump’s arraignment and charges today:
“Today is a historic moment where every American who supports our democracy should be holding Trump accountable for his lies and corruption. Rep. Bacon’s milquetoast statements do not hold Trump accountable. Instead, Bacon is joining extremist Republicans like Marjorie Taylor Greene in sowing seeds of doubt in our legal system and making it more difficult for justice to be delivered. Bacon can not have it both ways – he either believes no one is above the law or he believes in giving Trump political cover.”
