Our GOP representatives have their heads in the sand. Bacon recently told the Omaha World-Herald:
“There’s not a strong case for impeachment I think it’s paper-thin.”
What if there were incontrovertible proof that Trump did use withholding aid to pressure Ukraine to dig up dirt on a political rival and try to influence the 2020 election?
"I think it deserves criticism, but I don’t know if it would be impeachable,” Bacon said. “You’d have to show me where that’s a law being broken. I don’t know that it is. I don’t think it is.”
Fortenberry issued a statement of his own:
“I’m deeply concerned that this entire impeachment inquiry is tainted by the politics of division and hate. Now, after secret hearings, I’m being asked to vote to give this a veneer of civility and order––it’s not right.”
Attend a rally and help tell our representatives to put our country and Constitution ahead of the GOP and President Trump!
