On Saturday, the Nebraska Democratic Party was excited to announce that featured Democratic National Convention speaker and Nebraska native, Ryan Moore would be joining the Nebraska Delegation at one of its breakfast meetings. Since then, two individuals have been added to the line-up of special guests set to address the Delegation. Tuesday’s guest will be former Mayor of Cincinnati and TV personality Jerry Springer.

Springer is in Philadelphia with the Ohio Delegation. Host of the T.V. talk show The Jerry Springer Show and the Jerry Springer podcast, Springer has interviewed many prominent guests including Reverend Jesse Jackson. In addition to his political involvement and entertainment career, Springer is also a veteran and lawyer.

On Thursday, the President of the National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare, Max Richtman will join the Delegation.

“The Nebraska delegation is excited to hear from Max Richtman”, said Vince Powers. “Max is a national expert whose organization is one of the most effective and trustworthy sources for Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid advocacy. Max is also a proud Nebraskan and graduate of Omaha Central High School.”

Born in Munich, Germany, and growing up in Omaha, Nebraska, Mr. Richtman is a 16-year veteran of Capitol Hill and has testified numerous times before House and Senate Committees in his fight to preserve Social Security and Medicaid. During his Congressional career, Mr. Richtman directed a lengthy investigation of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission’s enforcement of age-discrimination statutes. A former director of the Senate Special Committee on Aging, Mr. Richters is also the vice-chair of the Seniors Coordinating Council of the Democratic National Committee.

The Nebraska Democratic Party is very happy to welcome both Mr. Springer and Mr. Richtman to speak.
